have been in contact with an avian expert and we have narrowed it down to the two.  the spheres kinda look like optical areas of the skull. the bone whatever it may be is from reject material from aurora and measures in at 3/8" long

I have no clue when it comes to material such as this, the only bird stuff i can readily id are verts, bones and claws.  I really like the claws.  I remember about 13-14 years ago on the beach of a thousand names now known as BFP i ran into a guy that had never collecected fossils before and he showed me a bird of prey claw that was between 1-1.5" and it was a fossil.  Man this thing was so sweet and even tho this guy was very happy with it he really had no clue about how awesome and uncommon of a find it was

Can you post a few more pictures.  It is very interesting.  I have a few modern bird skulls from nebraska, so with a few more pictures i might have an opinion on it.
