Wow i was looking at some of my makos under magnification and what do find. A rare transitional mako. These don't show up around here any where near as much as they do in south americaview the other side

While looking at all my other makos i also found another what appears to be a transitional mako. Minor root damage and a little worn. view the other side

Another mako tooth with fine wavy serrations down the blade

This is a really nice tooth. It's not often that you find a serrated mako around here. Looking at the tooth i would say that this is an escheri.More photos

These partially serrated makos are sweet. Don't get to many of them
