Get while the getting is good is a good motto to fossil by. The winds were still blowing causing a super low tide, so a hunt was again warranted and boy was it a good one. It started early with just a smidgen of a root corner exposed. Thinking nothing other than, what is that, flip it over and out comes a colorful, serrated, over four inch megalodon tooth. Not even a few minutes into the hunt and my trip had been made. We proceeded to hunt finding various bones and vertebrae scattered along the beach. We approached an area where I saw what looked like a damaged meg. I picked it up and to my surprise it was pathological not damaged, always nice to find pathilogical megalodon teeth. In the next about fifteen feet of beach I found three more megs, ending the brief flurry with the awesome 4.75" tooth. It was just laying out amongst a pile of rocks, this tooth is super thick and awesome. Having already had an incredible day, on the walk out, I was flipping over clay boulders and came across the 4.5" megalodon tooth with lots of feeding damage. What a great blessed day!!!
